Facilities
Whether your final destination is on east campus or west campus, there are plenty of resources available for you to park your bike, get some air in your tires, shower or store your belongings.

Showers & Lockers
On the east side campus, the Commuter Student Resource Center (CSRC) offers free locker rentals (rentals by the semester), showers, and a refrigerator where you can store your lunch. The Student Recreation Facility (SRF), also on the east side, is UIC’s state-of-the-art fitness center with showers, towel service, and free daily locker usage. If you prefer the west side, the Sport & Fitness Center (SFC) also offers showers, towel service and free daily locker usage. Both SRF and SFC offer the ability to rent a semi-permanent locker (semester-long use) for a small fee.
Bike Air Pumps
If you find yourself with low tire pressure, stop by one of the following locations to borrow a bike pump. Generally, you need to talk to staff at a location and ask for the air pump and leave your UIC ID until you return the pump.
Bike Racks & Indoor Parking
As of 2012, unfortunately, there are currently no official non-residential locations to park a bike indoors on campus… yet (stay tuned).
There are over 800 outdoor bike racks at UIC. You can be sure you can find a place close to your class to park your bike. Please visit our Safety & Security page for more information on how to properly lock your bike to a rack.
