Strategic Plan
The University of Illinois is looking far into the future, as shown by its ambitious strategic plan, developed in 2006. The intent of the plan is: “to combine academic excellence with an unprecedented commitment to innovation, quality, and service so that each campus and support organization is the best among its peers and is recognized as such.” Part of this plan, the Global Campus, is already underway. Launched in 2008, Global Campus offers a high-quality, affordable, online education to students unable to spend an extended amount of time on campus.
