Facilities
The Jeffery Lab is part of the Laboratory for Molecular Biology in the Department of Biological Sciences. The lab is located on the UIC campus in the Molecular Biology Research Building (MBRB). The building was constructed in 1995 and has all the equipment needed for biochemistry, molecular biology, and X-ray crystallography.

The Jeffery lab is part of the UIC Structural Biology Center. The Centers Rigaku RU200 X-ray generator and two detectors (R-axis IIc and Siemens Hi-Star) are located in the same building as our lab.

We also have access to synchrotron beamtime because UIC is part of two collaborative access teams (SER-CAT and BioCARS) at the
Advanced Photon Source synchrotron at Argonne National Labs, which is only about 30 min. drive from UIC.
