Biopharmaceutical Science

is the study of pharmaceuticals derived from biological sources, especially those produced by biotechnology.  Here at BPS, we carry out research in area such as chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, and pharmacology.  The results of these studies facilitate the identification of potential new targets (drug receptors, enzymes, biological transportation processes, or other processes involved in body metabolism) for drug discovery.

BPS Graduate Program Application

Students wishing to apply to the BPS graduate program should submit an application to the University of Illinois at Chicago through the BPS Director of Graduate Studies.
