Health Care

University of Illinois Chicago

UI Health is UIC’s academic health enterprise

With a rich history of community-based public health and wellness programs dating back to the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, the University of Illinois Chicago has evolved to integrate UIC’s seven health sciences colleges with clinical care and research. Today, UIC’s reach spans across Illinois and includes campuses in six cities, the only state-funded hospital in Chicago, a network of federally funded community health centers, and a highly funded research portfolio that connects communities to discovery closer than ever before.

As UIC’s academic health enterprise, the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) provides comprehensive care, education and research to train health care leaders and foster healthy communities in Illinois and beyond.
